In simple terms, a surrogate (or gestational carrier) carries a pregnancy for intended parents who cannot carry a child themselves. At Gifted Conceptions, we almost exclusively work with Gestational Surrogacy. This means the surrogate carries an embryo created via In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) using the intended parents' egg and sperm (or a donor’s).
